Far Away Hunger is a devised theater play inspired by Artaud's methodology. A raw look on misery and illness, a stage experience that combines movement, sound and presence. A show like no other, it reaches the unconscious mind, for that's where it got its imagery. Developed from the relationship of the actor's body and the world that emerges from it. Raw, unashamed, gutural. Far Away Hunger wants to be the voice of those who scavenge the Earth in search of a way to exist, of those who dream high, of those who scream to the top of their lungs: what truth is that?
Directed by António Júlio, Far Away Hunger had its world premiere in the notable theater festival Corrente Alterna.
