The Nutcracker on Ice is an adaptation of the beloved Hoffmann's fairy tale The Nutcracker. It tells the story of Clara (Vânia Pereira) who receives a Nutcracker (Vasco Temudo) for Christmas and all the adventures they go trough until they reach the Land of the Sweets. Here they meet the Sugar Plum Fairy (Joana Câncio) who turns the nutcracker into a real boy.
Directed by João Guimarães, musical direction by Artur Guimarães and choreography by Joana Quelhas.
